Getting Ready for the 2010

I am excited for the New Year....my new look on the blog and website! I so wanted to have everything finished up to launch on January 1st but unfortunately it will have to wait but I am looking forward to sharing my new look soon!

Only two more days until I can announce a winner in the Giving is Awesome contest! Can't wait!

In the meantime, family came in from New Jersey this past week and I had a fun little photo session with my sweet little niece. Here are a couple shots to share from our time playing:)

No snow this year but we did have beautiful clear skies!!!

Giving is Awesome!!!

I have been so extremely blessed these past 6 months in my new photography adventure. The business has blossomed into something wonderful and so creatively fulfilling.

I am so thankful and in the spirit of the season as well as wanting to give back I am excited to announce that I will be taking part in the campaign....

http://www.givingisawesome.com/

I have joined 337 other photographers (and counting) who are donating nearly $400,000 to others in need with what we do best.

Here is the scoop:

You know someone.

You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances.

You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season.

You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

YOU KNOW SOMEONE. I GUARANTEE IT.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1000 worth to be exact. Which includes a photo session along with a complete set of 4x6 prints and all the digital files. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $200 print credit gift certificate. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Carrying an iPhone does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside within 1 hour driving distance from Monroe, Washington.

* Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the FULL STORY at furelisedesigns@hotmail.com by December 24th, 2009.

The winner will be announced on New Years Day 2010 with a special phone call to the winner. I will also announce it on my blog that same day. Get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

The premise is simple: think of someone you know who deserves custom photography but can no way possibly afford it. Nominate them to win it. Enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling you brought to the world.

Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thank you for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love and gratitude,

Elise:)

Halloween Mini Sessions

I know I have not done very well on keeping up with my blog but the last two months I have been so busy trying to keep up with photo shoots and editing that the blog has been the last thing on my list. Hopefully, I will slow down a bit in November and I can get back to sharing on this blog all the great photo shoots that I have been doing but I update more frequently on my facebook account so go check it out.....http://www.facebook.com/pages/Monroe-WA/Elise-Marie-Photography/106594346307?v=wall&ref=nf

Fun Family Shoot-Family and Child Photography, King and Snohomish County Washington

I loved that this family was willing to haul their cool brown couch into their yard to create some amazing shots! It helps that the family is super adorable too!

August Sunset-Family Photography, King and Snohomish County Washington

I love the way the sunset created the most perfect light for this beautiful family......who happen to be wonderful friends too! We had fun playing in the field next to their home and the horses were curious so they posed for some of the shots also! Amazing!!! These are just a few but I still have a lot more to edit. Enjoy!

This my new photography blog...

I know I started making another blog but I forgot my passwords, so this is now my new blogger blog. Until I get tired of blogger. Right now I am frustrated because some of my images are showing up blurrier than they should be but it may be how I compressed them. I will work on that I guess. Refer to my website (www.elisemariephoto.com) to get a real sense of the photographs....there they come across crystal clear! I just wanted a place where I could update my current projects and photoshoots. I have a lot of catching up to do but this is my new start....again:0)
