Let's just call it "June"uary!!!

The weather has been crazy warm for January and the sun has also peeked it's way through the clouds. For a person that suffers from seasonal depression this has been a great boost for me. I was motivated this past week to take some photo shoots with my girls....

First my youngest with her long time friend-they are so cute!!!













Then a couple of days ago the weather got really warm and it felt like a summer day so my oldest daughter and I thought what a great opportunity to shoot with the member of our family, or baby kitten, Martin.











Hopefully this is just a taste of what the rest of winter and spring has in store for us!

Happy New Year...and a time to give!!!!

I am so excited to announce that I have a winner for the "Giving is Awesome" contest!!! I had a really hard time deciding on the final winner because the other nominations were all so deserving.

Thanks to everyone who nominated others and I am truly humbled by the thoughtfulness that went into the stories submitted. What a great way to start a new year and decade!

To protect the privacy of those who won the contest I will not be announcing the winners on my website unless I get permission from those families to do so.

I can say the family who won is going through a very difficult situation right now and they deserve this special surprise and if you can keep them in your thoughts and prayers I would really appreciate it!

This busy year I didn't get our Christmas cards out in the mail before the holidays but I decided that I should still send out something. So this week I ordered these cards and I am excited to get them soon so I can finally get them in the mail.....a little late but I love how they turned out!
